The Epiphany

Family Faith Sharing
The Epiphany
Years A, B & C:

Prayer:
O God, you lead mankind to Jesus by way of a star in the night. Lead us now to your presence, so that we can see Jesus in all people, as part of our wholeness.

Reading: Matthew 2:1-12

Lesson:
Talk about ways that we can seek Jesus today.

Psalm:
“Arise, shine, for your light has come
and the glory of the Lord has risen upon you.” Isaiah 60:1

Prayers: {share prayers that are on our hearts}

Thank you, God, for guiding us towards you and using the other people in our life to help us get to you. Help us remember that only by finding Jesus, the light, in each other can we guide each other to you. Remind us constantly, to seek you and your desires for us. Amen.

Blessing: Our Lord Jesus Christ be with us to defend us, within us to keep us, before us to lead us, beside us to guard us, and above us to bless us. Amen. (New Zealand Prayer Book)

*As a family, we have been discussing the readings in a simplified “Lectio Divina” style. Here is a link of what that might look like, though we just ask questions and do the rest our own way.
